Water Vapor Sensing

 When the signals of navigation satellite get through the atmosphere ionosphere and troposphere, the satellite signal is refracted and delayed. In ground-based water vapor sensing, the amount of atmospheric delay is obtained by the analysis of observational data processing. Then the information of atmospheric water vapor content and ionospheric electron concentration changes which we required can be gained by a certain mathematical physics relationships. The water vapor sensing requires a network of high precision, multi-frequency receiver.

Unicore’s receiver can track and process BDS B1,B2,B3, GPS L1, L2, and GLONASS L1,L2 satellite signals at the same time. By making full use of complementary features and multiple frequencies of different satellite orbits of navigation systems, it is fully applicable to the ground based water vapor and ionospheric sensing exploration.

Unicore is the first manufacturer of GNSS receiver in China who applied BDS high-precise positioning technology tothe ground based water vapor exploration. By cooperating with meteorological departments, Unicore UR370, tri-system, hepta-frequency high precision CORS receiver, has established trial network of BDS ground based water vapor exploration in Hubei and Guangdong provinces; their attempts have resulted in rewarding achievements.
